The Fujifilm REAL 3D W3 features a lighter and sleeker redesigned body and improved 5” high resolution Autostereoscopic 3D widescreen LCD. The LCD’s 1150K resolution displays high contrast images and movies in 3D without the need of 3D glasses by utilizing the advance Light Direction Control technology.
The Fujifilm REAL 3D W3 uses its lens / sensor pairs concurrently to capture either still images or video for 3D viewing. This unusual optical layout utilizes two separate CCD lenses, forming a separate 1/2 image, together with two monaural microphones for capturing stereo audio, and a single centrally positioned flash strobe. Photo data captured by the dual lens CCD system is then processed by the newly developed RP (Real Photo) Processor 3D HD which merges the left and right images into a single image. This new lenticular system uses rows of convex lenses that create a binocular parallax effect to produce a realistic 3D image with less cross-talk and flicker. 3D images can be shown in High Luminosity Mode that both display images 1.5 times brighter, and color reproduced 1.8 times deeper, allowing for clear, distinct and vivid images.
In short, the 3D and 2D Auto functions let anyone take high-definition, high-resolution movies and photos effortlessly. The audio is also captured in stereo to preserve its original impact.. The synchronized control of the two sensors and lenses prevents any inaccuracy between the two images and produces a perfectly matched pair of images which, when combined, produce a single image with a very natural sense of depth.
In advance 3D still image mode, users will take pleasure in the ability to take two shots of the same subject from different positions using individual shutter shooting, and then the camera will automatically merge and save the captured images as a single, enhanced 3D photo. Photos of distant subjects like mountains and skyscrapers look amazing in enhanced 3D, while close-up subjects like flowers come to life in natural 3D.
Playback is supported through mini-HDMI output jack that offers easy connection to a compatible 3D HDTV; you can view images and movies instantly in 3D. You can also capture images and movies to SD/SDHC memory card.
The Fujifilm REAL 3D W3 comes bundled with MyFinePix Studio 3D Movie and Photo Editor; for editing captured 3D images and videos. You can separate 3D photos in to left/right still images and re-combine them. You can also trim and combine your 3D movies as quickly and easily. The camera/camcorder save 3D still images as MPO (Multi Picture Object, JPEG compressed), and 3D movies (3D-AVI, with two image channels in one video clip).
